Cantina, Goodrington

Beach day at goodrington and walked a few minutes to this amazing restaurant, indoor and big outdoor seating. Specials menu with whole sardines and feta salad which just sold out! But looked and smelt amazing. We had a great lunch, a selection of small plates. Pork belly, king prawn tacos, humous and breads and incredible fritters. The kids had sausages and chips. The food is delicious! quick QR order to table, and food was fast and fresh. I can’t wait to fit in another trip this week. The only thing I could say… to do a kids menu for ease of ordering. Attention to detail was spot on, will be back!

A lovely surprise! I thought it was closed as the weather wasn’t so good as we saw other people coming out we decide to give it a go and it was brilliant! Much better than we expected Very clean and fresh, dogs are welcome. Children very welcome too they have got books and games to play. Toilets very clean and easy access with wheelchairs. The staff are very friendly and attentive. You pay your food first on the till or by your phone and deliver to your table. Very nice presentation I’ll be back for more

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of my favorite places in Paignton! Pet and family-friendly, which makes it perfect for everyone. It’s just a short walk from the beach , so great for a relaxing meal after a day by the sea. The food is excellent – the burger was absolutely delicious , cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

We visited Cantina for a family birthday meal and had a really lovely afternoon! The food was absolutely delicious – the steak brioche & Steaky chips and the steak-y chips were cooked to perfection, and the Pinot Grigio went down a treat. Portion sizes were generous, everything tasted fresh, and the service was friendly and attentive without being over the top. The only slight surprise was a rather cheeky, revealing statue in the restaurant that caught the eye of our 7-year-old, who couldn’t stop giggling and asking questions! We all saw the funny side though – it definitely made for a memorable birthday story. Overall, a great little spot with fantastic food and a relaxed vibe. We’ll definitely be back – maybe when the kids are a bit older (or we’ll just sit further away from the statue!). Highly recommend!”

Excellent food, service and atmosphere at this popular eatery. Staff are attentive and dietary needs of individuals are well met. The restaurant is well-situated for visitors to Goodrington Sands and offers plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. A family run business, you can be sure to have a good meal here.

A fantastic spot for food or drinks by the sea! It’s always a positive bustling atmosphere in here. They serve freshly prepared delicious food which is always beautifully presented, cakes, drinks alcoholic and coffees and soft drinks. Sometimes they have live music too. You can sit in, or out in the sunshine or under cover. It’s dog friendly and child friendly. They don’t do as many vegan options as they used to (I wish they’d bring back the aubergine fish fingers from years ago!!!) but there are still some options and they do vegan cheese so can swap some stuff out. 20p from all pizzas goes to the Wave project, and they’re super fresh yummy pizzas!! Edit: Reduction of a star as actually service is inconsistent - some staff fantastic but when we went back again one of them was very rude. Friends told me the staff have been rude to them when they’ve been here too, though it was the first time I’d experienced it myself.

We went to the Cantina during the summer to walk the dogs along the beach and popped into the Cantina for a drink afterwards. The food looked great so we decided to go back there and take my mum. My mum can’t walk very well at the moment so we needed somewhere with a short distance from the car. Don’t park near goodrington beach, you can get much closer by popping the Cantina postcode into google maps and it will take you much closer to the entrance. It’s a little tricky to drive around this area but if you can find a parking spot it’s free, and importantly, close to the Cantina. The food was very good, I had a Cantina Burger which was massive, and my partner and mum had the plant burgers which they both enjoyed. One thing worth mentioning is that the Cantina don’t take cash which was slightly disappointing and had they taken both options (card and cash) I would’ve given this review five stars. The atmosphere was great, it was really busy and dogs allowed inside :) the menu is great with lots of options and good drinks too. We had coffees, and Luscombe raspberry drink and there was some good local beers on sale too. Highly recommend.

This place was fab. The food is really nice and the love music schedule is also a lovely bonus. The atmosphere is very chill with friendly, prompt service and at table ordering, fun decor and lovely touches like blankets and sun cream for people and towels for soggy doggies. We are their twice on our holiday.
